Lisa’s story (my former sister in law and current friend)

September 12, 2023

It has been a long journey. I was 16 when I was first diagnosed with epilepsy.  It was very difficult getting medication straight. Every few years I’d have to switch medications. I tried to go to college but was I so drowsy I couldn’t concentrate and had to give up my dream of early childhood education.

I was so blessed to have David.  The Lord definitely knew that David was the perfect husband for me. When David was in college I worked and was always hired and then fired within three months. When he got his college degree and a job, we were married and I stopped working.  A few years later, God gave us three beautiful sons!

 Although it has always been hard for me with my epilepsy, I knew that the Lord was in control. I know that this life is brief and as soon as I am in heaven I will be made whole again! No more epilepsy!

Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!

Psalm 46:10
